Our Pastor and his family

Ordained to the ministry in 1982 at his home church in Roswell Georgia, Pastor Terry has devoted more than four decades to the faithful study, teaching, and proclamation of God's True Word.

Pastor Terry began his pastoral ministry in Carrollton, Georgia, where he faithfully shepherded a congregation for twenty-one years. Following that season of ministry, God called him to Charleston, South Carolina, where he continued serving God's people as Senior Pastor for eight more years. 

After completing his work in Charleston, Pastor Terry sensed God's direction to relocate to Toccoa, Georgia, without knowing the purpose. In simple faith and obedience, he waited. For fifteen years he remained there, trusting God's timing until the Lord revealed His plan. God then instructed him to gather His children into a new fellowship that would become Lifepointe Church, a Sabbath-Keeping ministry dedicated to the faithful teaching of Scripture and wholehearted worship of God.

In June 2022, Pastor Terry married his present wife Noemi Dones from the Philippines. Their marriage followed a season of profound loss after the passing of his first wife of forty-five years, who courageously battled cancer before entering into rest in 2018.  Prior to his wife's passing, he lost his son to a brain aneurysm in 1976 and lost his daughter to an illness associated with Crohn's disease and Sepsis in 2016. Through all of these devastating sorrows, Pastor Terry has experienced God's sustaining grace firsthand, strengthening his compassion and deepening his desire to minister to others.

Today, Pastor Terry continues to preach, teach, write, and serve as the pastor of Lifepointe Church and his wife Noemi, being an accomplished violinist serves on the worship team.. He is also the author of the "According to God" book series, a collection of seven Bible study companions dedicated to presenting biblical truth by allowing Scripture to speak for itself, He has also authored four very compelling and thought provoking Christian Novels. His books are scheduled for release beginning in January 2027 by WestBow Press / Thomas Nelson Publishing. His lifelong mission is to encourage believers to know God more deeply through His Word and to faithfully follow wherever He leads.
